Two men, two worlds, one city. A boxer and a watchmaker, both raised by Marseille, both shaped by it.
Atelier Jacques Bianchi approached me after seeing my videos with Bruno Surace. They were launching their new collection and had chosen Bruno as the brand’s ambassador. The commission: a launch film, a teaser, a long-format video where the two men meet, and photographs. I had full creative freedom: I came up with the idea and wrote the script.
The film
I told the story of the connection between boxing and watchmaking through these two men. I filmed each in his own world, then moved between the two with transitions, until they meet, the worlds collide, and the collaboration is born.

The meeting
A short documentary that follows Bruno and Jacques as they meet. In Jacques's atelier, he explains his craft to Bruno. In a boxing gym, Bruno explains boxing to Jacques. Each man steps into the other's world.
