Fashion film

Aritzia × Luca Fersko
Role
Director of photography · Camera operator
Location
Wuppertal, Germany
Year
2026

No voice-over, no lyrics, only a sober score and an intriguing mood. This film doesn't explain: it lets each viewer feel their own emotion.

Luca Fersko, an international model and New York creator, reached out to me, in collaboration with Aritzia, to shoot the launch film for their new men’s collection. The brand wanted a brutalist, muted, autumnal mood.

We chose Wuppertal, Germany, because it offered all three: industrial architecture, an autumn atmosphere with a mysterious edge, and the Schwebebahn, its suspended railway, which fascinated us both.

Over several days on location, I worked as director of photography and camera operator, searching for frames where every composition carries meaning.

Personal version

Coming Back (personal version)

Where the film leaves the emotion to the viewer, this version is the emotion I felt through these images, told as a story with a voice-over. It follows a man who is never quite present: whatever he does, his mind is elsewhere, until the very end, when he seems to reconnect. I made it for the pleasure of it. Edited, graded and narrated by me.
